Xerox Global chose IPW1 as the venue for the secret testing and launch of their new Iridesse digital printer, that can print gold, silver and other metallic colours, gradients and shades as well as a clear layer. We were the first printer in Europe to have the machine and we are leading the innovation as each phase of its capability rolls out.
The Xerox Iridesse offers the ultimate in design flexibility, with vibrant, high-definition image quality, amazing colour reproduction and clear dry ink so you can apply a clear effect to areas of your print or flood the entire sheet. Gold and silver dry inks can be layered with CMYK to create vibrant spot colours, metallic gradients, photographic enhancements and more.
The machine is revolutionary; it can print pure and mixed metallics, transforming digital print, allowing special effects on projects that could only have been run using foil blocking and litho print in the past; this means faster print at a lower cost.
When the Directors of Xerox came to us with a proposal that they test their brand new Iridesse printer with us, we couldn’t have foreseen that we would have appeared on stage at conferences in the US and Poland, on video adverts for Xerox and in print and design advice columns. Xerox placed their trust in our skills and service and we delivered.
