As litho printing specialists in Central London, we at Instant Print have continued our investment over the years to ensure we stay ahead of the game, not just with our printing machines but also our software that give us great control in turning your ideas and artwork into the final printed article.
Invented in 1796, lithography can be described as a planographic process and is one of the most efficient and widely used methods of printing today. Originally, the process involved transferring the ink directly from flat stones to the substrate. Today, now generally known as ‘offset’ lithography, the methods are more sophisticated and has seen the extensive use of zinc plates.
Using grease-based substances, from tusche washes to lithographic crayon, marks are etched onto a flat surface, such as a zinc plate. Once the mark etching is completed, the image is then picked up from the zinc plate and on to a roller which immediately transfers it to another roller before it is finally pressed down on to the substrate (usually paper).
We offer full colour printing, pantone colours or standard black lithographic, and can cater for short to long print runs and our machines are capable of printing up to a 600gsm stock. We can work on the following items:
- Company Literature
- Presentation Folders
- Greeting Cards
- Fashion Look Books
