Even with the apparent boom in the digital world, print marketing is still prospering. The sector continually evolves and develops, catering to the ever-changing needs of the public.

Clever marketers understand that the worst a company can do is to 'put all of their eggs in one basket'. For the best, well-rounded marketing strategy, every business should utilise the full range of tools at its disposal.

Whilst social media and internet ads are helpful, print marketing continues to solidify itself every year in the world of advertisement.

Customers value integrity and physical presence. Whilst most have changed their shopping habits over the past year, the majority of the population are eager to explore the great outdoors once more.

Elevate Visual Merchandise with Vinyl Displays

As summer 2021 fast approaches, the UK is beginning to emerge from its slumber.

People are cautiously heading back into the city centre and onto the high street, keen to shop in physical stores and enjoy all the delights they have to offer.

2020 saw the demise of many household names that we all knew and loved. Therefore, it has never been more important for businesses to encourage customers into their stores.

Vinyl displays are an elegant, sophisticated way to incorporate your branding into your shop front, catching the eyes of passing trade and imprinting your logo into their mind.

The beauty of vinyl displays is that they are suitable for a vast span of designs. Ranging from the brightest, most complex logos to the tiniest details, your vinyl display will encapsulate what your brand truly stands for.

Aside from shops, Vinyl displays are perfect for offices. Particularly in buildings where space is shared between multiple companies, these displays are a great way to add necessary separation. They are a refined and sophisticated way to add company branding into an otherwise bland space.

Full, Cohesive Stationary

The secret to great marketing is cohesion.

Whilst colour schemes, designs and typography are all crucially important, ensuring that your branding is consistent is vital to elevate your company to a recognisable household name.

An online presence is non-negotiable currently, yet this should effortlessly transition into your physical marketing.

As an example, consider a restaurant. There are various items that must naturally tie together, building a unified branding strategy. First and most obviously, the menu must be immediately linked to the company website and social media accounts. This will include logo representation but might also come in the form of consistent typography and colouring. When building a relationship with new customers, the first glimpses of the brand that the customer sees must be consistent.

Building on this, you must then consider the other elements of the business. This might include letterheads, gift cards and notepads. Ensuring the whole marketing package is coherent will improve the company's image.

Bespoke Packaging

E-commerce is showing no signs of slowing.

Whilst most are excited to finally step inside a physical store, many have become completely used to the world of online shopping, valuing the convenience it can offer. Therefore, ensuring that your brand's packaging is flawless is essential.

Other than your website, your packaging will be the first taste of your business many customers receive. Therefore, you need to create an image that will stay with them. This first impression will encourage repeat custom as well as recommendations to friends and family.

Bespoke packaging should look beautiful and represent your brand perfectly. However, it should also be practical.

You are responsible for your product arriving at the customer's door in optimal condition. Many boxes have to withstand a great deal of trauma before they reach this point.

Bespoke packaging designed to house your product perfectly is the best way to put forward the most fantastic brand image.

Labels and Stickers

Labels are one of the most apparent forms of marketing required for your product.

Of course, every product you sell needs a label. However, there is massive scope in this small element of your business. It allows you to intrinsically link your brand to your product, helping your company become a household name.

There is so much more to labels and stickers than simply adding your logo.

Considering the restrictions that we have all faced, customer shopping habits have shifted dramatically, and takeout food services are in high demand. Meaning, accurate labelling has never been more important. Food products must be clearly marked, detailing any allergens or unique ingredients.

More broadly, coffee cups often use labels and stickers detailing the contents. For non-food-related businesses, stickers may be required to seal envelopes, cleverly adding another element of your branding.

IPW1 are also happy to produce social distancing markers and bespoke labels for hand sanitiser – two products that are necessary for the smooth running of any business.

Beautiful Binding

Whilst binding is ideal for university essays and dissertations, there is much more to binding than how it can benefit those in education.

One of the best print marketing techniques that has stood the test of time is the brochure.

Regardless of the impact of online marketing, customers love to see and hold a physical print document. These brochures need to be completed to the highest standards using excellent quality paper, ink, and perfect binding methods.

Techniques such as wire binding provide an excellent solution for workplace presentations and reports. Binding keeps the information looking professional whilst allowing you the freedom to chop and change documents from the exhibition as you please.

Binding eliminates the need for plastic wallets and single-use folders, making your workplace more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Key Details

  • Whilst it is integral that it runs in line with your online presence, print marketing is still very much alive and thriving.
  • Consistency is key. Creating branding that transcends all of your products is the best way to keep your business recognisable.
  • Your marketing needs to be beautiful but also functional. The functionality will always reign supreme, especially in the world of E-commerce.
  • The overall finish of products is critical. From flawless labels to impeccably bound presentations, the devil is in the detail, and customers value this.

Where does the time go?! Only one year ago we opened our doors in our new studio in SE1! IPW1 not only made a colourful start in SE1 but we ensured we made our new house a home. As well as needing more room we wanted to make sure our commitment and investment to innovation and digital printing technology was reflected in our brand. We'd refreshed the brand, we'd invested in innovation and we had the Xerox Iridesse Express! So how did we do?

For nearly fifty years, we’ve been a trustworthy print and finishing provider to companies all over London and the South-East. We’ve grown to be the leading independent printer in London; we did it by looking after our customers and staff, whilst making the right decisions that impact us and our communities. Our Commitment We want to Wow our customers with proper printing, by making ideas happen. But it's more than that. We want to be recognised for our commitment to many of the big topics impacting us all; carbon emissions, reducing energy consumption, recycling, diversity and inclusion. It's early days, so there will be more to come. We expect it of ourselves, and our customers expect it too.

For anyone that’s moved house after a number of years, you know how daunting this can be. As Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer tell us, it’s about Location, Location, Location and once you’ve found your ideal property you then need to maximise the Amazing Space and come up with Grand Designs without input & guidance from George Clarke and Kevin McCloud!! Yet we’ve done it!! We were bursting at the seams at our previous London printing studio in Great Portland Street [GPS] W1 as, in response to customer demand, we’d continued to invest to ensure we kept pace with the advancements in Xerox digital printing technology as far as the space would allow us. The advancements since we took our very first Xerox Iridesse in 2018, the first in Europe, have been out of this world. With its speciality colour printing of gold, silver, white, clear and fluorescent pink, we loved it and so did our customers. So much so we soon found ourselves with Xerox number 2. Again we loved it, and so did our customers, new and old. We were able to translate creative designs and requests like never before and in 2022, knowing we needed add to our Xerox Iridesse fleet yet again, it was clear. We had outgrown our Great Portland Street home.
